The final round of the Battle for Oz Tournament Series – Dorothy’s Return Home – has now been set for February 20th, 2016!! The first three rounds have been battled out and we’ve had some epic games along the way… and now the dust is set to settle as we close out the first ever Battle for Oz Tournament Series and get ready for the grand finale as we bring on the 2nd annual Wicked GT! To recap, here’s the winners of the first 3 rounds of the series and here’s the latest Player Standings in the points. As you can tell, it’s going to come down to a photo finish between Austin Murrey and Jon Pike! Who will be crowned the first ever Battle for Oz Grand Champion!!
Round 1 – The Scarecrow’s Wrath – Overall Champ: Chris McArthur
Round 2 – The Tin Man’s Revenge – Overall Champ: Brian Hunter
Round 3 – The Lion’s Pride – Overall Champ: Austin Murrey
Now Round 4 is set for February 20th, 2016 and it’s going to be great. If you’ll recall, we kicked off the 9th Age era last Saturday (December 5th) at the Lion’s Pride and it was very well received. The guys over at the 9th Age Crew have done an excellent job updating the Fantasy Battles rulebook and it’s one that we’ve adopted in full force here at the MW Gaming Alliance! So don’t forget that going forward, for all of our tournaments, including the 2nd Wicked GT, we’ll be using the 9th Age rules! (www.the-ninth-age.com)
